Attack on Titan Posters & Wall Art: Complete Guide for Australian Fans

Attack on Titan has some of the most visually striking imagery in all of anime — from the towering walls of Paradis to the horrifying face of the Colossal Titan, the series is a treasure trove of poster-worthy moments. Whether you're decorating a bedroom, study, or lounge room, AOT posters and wall art are a bold way to show your love for the series.

This guide covers the types of AOT wall art available, how to style them, and what to look for when buying online in Australia.

Types of AOT Wall Art

Standard Posters

Standard posters are printed on paper or lightweight stock and are the most affordable option. AOT standard posters range from simple character portraits to elaborate action scenes. Look for:

Paper weight — thicker paper (150gsm+) resists tearing and looks more premium
Print resolution — sharp details and clean colour gradients
Water resistance — self-adhesive waterproof posters are ideal for bathrooms or anywhere moisture might be an issue

Canvas Prints

Canvas prints elevate anime wall art to gallery-style displays. AOT canvas prints typically feature:

Stretched canvas over a wooden frame, ready to hang
Enhanced colour depth compared to standard paper prints
No frame required — the stretched canvas look is clean and modern
Durability — canvas resists moisture and won't curl like paper

Canvas prints work especially well for large-format AOT pieces — a Titan breaking through the wall or the Survey Corps riding in formation looks spectacular at 60x90cm or larger.

Waterproof Self-Adhesive Posters

A newer format that combines the affordability of standard posters with waterproof coating and self-adhesive backing. These can be applied directly to walls without frames or hooks, making them perfect for renters or those who don't want to put holes in walls.

Music & Album Art Style Posters

A creative format that presents AOT imagery in the style of music album covers — a trend that's grown significantly in anime poster culture. These often feature rapper-style typography, artistic colour grading, and a mash-up of anime aesthetics with contemporary design.

Framing & Display Tips

Choosing a Frame

Black frames — complement AOT's dark aesthetic; versatile for most wall colours
White frames — clean and modern; work well against white or grey walls
Natural wood frames — warmer look; pairs well with earthy tones
Frameless / floating — for canvas prints or minimalist displays

Wall Arrangement Ideas

Gallery wall — mix different sizes and orientations for an eclectic look
Triptych — three panels of the same scene displayed together for a panoramic effect
Single statement piece — one large canvas as a focal point above a bed or sofa
